Overall Job Function: Full-stack eCommerce experience - from buying strategy to sell thru analysis and merchandising. This person must understand data, buying and market strategy when it comes to a high-inventory sell-thru startup.

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

  • Developing purchasing strategy & purchase inventory based on brand + market trends
  • Partner with CGO & eComm manager to develop quarterly inventory strategy (I.e. no-repeat inventory)
  • Track all purchased inventory, sell-thru rates, and margins for products
  • Assist in developing copy for products & vendor stories and uploading products into our admin system
  • Daily tracking of when product goes live on-site; Weekly inventory update per product to track sell thru
  • Weekly reviews of how products are moving or not moving
  • Analyze margins per category with fulfillment operations, sell-thru based on time on site and collection price
  • Develop new dropship vendor relationships with well-known brands
  • Clean out old dropship relationships that are not on brand
  • Track full inventory across collections on a weekly basis to show how much total inventory per collection has moved
  • Work with Fulfillment to ensure products are received in a timely manner
  • Manage vendor relationships with drop ship vendors

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years background in eComm buying & merchandising
  • Familiarity with Keynote & content creation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently with strong follow-through skills;
  • Management experience
  • Proactiveness – takes the lead on addressing conflicts and resolving issues;
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written as this person is likely to interface directly with high profile clients and internal/external business parties
  • Flexibility to juggle an extensive degree of multiple and changing priorities;
  • Resourcefulness (especially online) in executing projects;
  • Collaborative/teamwork attitude and skills a must;
  • Maintain positive attitude in a very fast-paced and evolving work environment.
