Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of the Product Team to define user interactions and design layouts for new features, overseeing all aspects of user experience design from discovery to launch
  • Conduct user research to identify new product opportunities and collaborate closely with the Product Manager to inform prioritization
  • Create prototypes to validate the utility and impact of candidate features
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to support Loop & Tie’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all customer touch points
  • Bring a holistic perspective to Loop & Tie’s entire service offering and improve our user experience to delight more customers
  • Manage and mentor an awesome junior designer
  • Function autonomously by taking full ownership of your work and responsibility for every detail, every step of the way

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a full-stack Product Designer
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates a wide range of thoughtful solutions and meticulous attention to detail
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Mastery of Figma and Sketch, with familiarity across all major design tools and proven ability to quickly learn new tools as needed
  • A passion for research; user testing is an indispensable part of your process and you know how to validate ideas quickly using the right tools
  • Experience defining patterns & style guides, building prototypes, and getting feedback from users and internal stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of software development and experience collaborating closely with developers
  • An ability to move seamlessly between innovative, big-picture thinking and pixel-level execution across multiple devices, screen sizes, and platforms
  • Excellent communication skills—hearing about a user’s needs from you is like hearing it directly from them
  • Experience managing and developing junior designers
